Home      Charity Gig
I was recently approached by one of the clubs members saying about a gig in shepperds bush, mentioning that he played the bass in a band for a girl called Thea Ford and she was having an album launch at this gig, saying that all proceeds are going to a great charity called MaD for good.
It is well worth the £12, not only are you doing good you'll have a cracking night too just check out some of Thea's music here....   http://www.myspace.com/theaford

Hey, I'm Thea. I'm a 25 year old singer/songwriter currently living in South London recording my debut album 'Monkey to the West'. The album has tracks ranging from mellow acoustic sounds to upbeat pop/rock, folk and funky guitar covering a crazy range of issues from love and family, to bullying and the recent Gulf wars. Originally from Cambridge, I've been involved in music and dance since childhood, playing piano, singing, song writing, and teaching and performing various styles of dance. However, since moving to London 4 years ago I've focussed mainly on my own music and have been lucky to work some seriously talented musicians to complete the album.

'Monkey to the West', which is planned for release in the summer of 2009, is dedicated to raising money and awareness for the ‘MaD for good!’, a charity in Cambodia dedicated to building an orphanage to house vunerable children in a village near Siem Reap (Angkor Wat).
